1. Allergen Warning
ALL products made by Sweet Highland Bakes are prepared in a domestic kitchen that regularly uses and may contain traces of the following allergens:
- Wheat and Gluten
- Dairy and Milk
- Eggs
- Tree Nuts: almonds, cashews, macadamias, walnuts
- Peanuts
- Soy
- Sesame
- Sulphites
Despite our best efforts to prevent cross-contamination, traces of these allergens may be present in any of our products, even if not listed as a direct ingredient. We cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from allergen contamination.
2. Customer Responsibility
It is the customer's responsibility to inform Sweet Highland Bakes of ALL allergies, intolerances, and dietary requirements at the time of ordering.
Failure to disclose allergies when placing your order may result in exposure to allergens that could cause a serious adverse reaction.

3. Food Safety Guidelines
All products are freshly handmade and perishable. To maintain food safety and quality:
- Refrigerate immediately upon receipt — do not leave products unrefrigerated
- Consume within the recommended timeframe provided at delivery (typically 2-3 days)
- Store in a clean, sealed container in the refrigerator
- Do not consume if product shows signs of spoilage (unusual smell, mold, discolouration)
Sweet Highland Bakes is not responsible for illness or adverse effects resulting from improper storage, handling, or consumption of products after delivery or collection.
4. Nutritional Information
Specific detailed nutritional information (calories, macronutrients, allergen quantification) is not provided for individual products. If you require detailed nutritional information for health or medical reasons, please contact us before ordering.
5. Product Variations
Because our products are handmade to order, there may be slight variations in appearance compared to website photos. This is normal and part of the artisan process. Seasonal availability of ingredients may also affect product offerings and slight recipe adjustments.
6. Limitation of Liability
Sweet Highland Bakes accepts no liability for:
- Adverse reactions, allergies, or food intolerances resulting from the consumption of our products
- Illness or injury resulting from allergen exposure
- Situations where allergen information has been clearly provided and the customer has not disclosed relevant allergies or dietary requirements
